Her Majesty's Courts Service

A word from leavinglaw

Her Majesty's Courts Service (HMCS) brought together the Magistrates' Courts Service and the Courts Service into a single organisation in April 2005. It is the executive agency of the Ministry of Justice, having responsibility for the administration of the civil, family and criminal courts of England and Wales. Vacancies are advertised directly by HMCS in the press, for example for legal advisers, judicial assistants etc, citing the 'Central Recruitment Unit' as the contact (email and telepone numbers below), or via the umbrella Ministry of Justice website at www.justice.gov.uk/about/jobs.htm.
